Frequently Asked Questions

Reconditioning and repairing IBC totes

What does tote reconditioning include?

Cleaning or replacing the inner bottle, valve inspection or replacement, cage straightening, and base checks.

Can you certify cleaned totes?

We can provide cleaning certificates and photos for reconditioned totes upon request.

How long does reconditioning take?

Standard turnaround is 48-72 hours depending on volume and required repairs.

Do you pick up totes for reconditioning?

Yes. We can collect, recondition, and return totes or coordinate alongside deliveries.

Do you replace valves and gaskets?

We inspect valves and gaskets and replace them when worn or when the application requires new components.

Can you handle totes with unknown contents?

We need to know prior contents for safety. Hazardous or unknown residues must be disclosed and may be declined.

Do you separate food-grade and industrial totes?

Yes. Food-grade totes are processed separately to prevent cross-contamination.

Is there a minimum quantity for repair?

No strict minimum, but pickup efficiency improves at 5+ totes. Single units can be dropped off.

Do you recycle cages and bottles that can’t be reused?

Yes. Metal cages and HDPE bottles are sent to appropriate recyclers with documentation available.

Can you provide loaner totes during repair?

We can arrange temporary rentals or replacements from stock while your totes are being reconditioned.
